Universal PreK

The Hartford School District is in the process of obtaining information for incoming Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) students for the 2021-2022 school year. Please review the following documents to get started:

Hartford School District is in compliance with Act 166, which "provides for universal access to publicly funded prekindergarten education. All public and private prekindergarten (PreK) education programs, including Head Start and public school operated programs, must meet specific requirements to operate a PreK program in Vermont." Learn more on the State of Vermont Agency of Education website.

The district offers a half-day pre-kindergarten program at each elementary school. Morning and afternoon sessions are available.
