Universal PreK

Preschool Enrollment 2024-2025 for Hartford Residents:

We are currently collecting applications for the 2024-2025 school year. If you are interested in a spot in one of our district preschool programs, please complete an online registration and read the following letter for more information.

Hartford School District is in compliance with Act 166, which "provides for universal access to publicly funded prekindergarten education. All public and private prekindergarten (PreK) education programs, including Head Start and public school operated programs, must meet specific requirements to operate a PreK program in Vermont. The Hartford School District contracts with several community-based private prekindergarten(PreK) education programs that have been prequalified by the Agency of Education. For the 2024-25 school year, the Early Childhood Program will be operating two full-day classrooms in each of Hartford's elementary schools. Please see the following links for school-specific information.
